This is in response to watching your post about YouTube’s desire to host music videos. The music industry uses music videos as a means to promote the sale of music, and to build interest in the music in people. It would be in the best interest of YouTube to let them list music videos as it would be a great way to promote the music.
It is just a matter of time before YouTube introduces aggressive Advertising revenue models, product placements, and potentially service fees (possibly monthly service fees for Premium content, faster downloads, etc)
It would be very difficult for them to continue operating this site without the funding, and its reach is definately worth alot of dollars to advertisers…I’m sure things will change alot in the coming year.
My two cents.
